This is the third item interactive we prepare for Environmental Awareness Elementary Secondary 2: Food. They were published those " Identity, diversity and feelings" and "The Human Body ."
As we have written here previously, the intent of these applications is twofold: to be useful in addressing the issues on the PDI and that students can work independently.
After using these 3 issues in class, we're pretty happy with the results. We have found really useful in the teaching-learning process for several reasons:
- Students love them. The only problem with this is that we have delayed a little and have spent a week asking, "When we go to computers?
- By being available on the internet can be reviewed easily at home with their parents.
- By combining content and interaction help us greatly in our exhibitions with the PDI.
In case anyone had not noticed, what we say: they are not perfect. We would like to add more interactivity, more videos, better design ... and use less "type exercises," but with time we have, if we did so, would complete only one or two issues throughout the year. So we sought a compromise between quality and quantity in order to take this format almost every topic of the course.
We can not make it accessible to everyone, but the activities and results saved in Moodle. So the teacher can check the scores of students at different stages. We are also working to enable the student to construct its digital portfolio with the results of some of the exercises. Our idea is to use Mahara, or other similar and hence reflect the work done automatically. But this is still very green and we do not before the third quarter we have something we can teach. The
Food issue focuses on its origins, processes and groups with common characteristics. We included three readings on pizzas, Calasparra Rice and the importance of eating five servings of fruits and vegetables a day. This time too we have a little game of Martians in which we changed ships for hungry mouths and shooting fruit and vegetables.
As we always say: now everyone to try and leave us a comment with criticism and possible improvements.
